Summer fades its burn
leaving room for rain
dancing & the calling
forth of winter but
autumn will have its
day short long night
gold leaves falling
on a transitioning a
going to be reordered
so autumn resembles an
evening some where between
sun set and dark fall
an in between like when
most of your days are
behind you silently or
loudly you begin to pave
the way to be something else
maybe a sunrise or a spring time
just a green shoot or simply
an outrageous morning hanging
on to the forever in a day
early while the dew is on the
grass newborn day but autumn
will come will have its blaze
its full ripeness harvest
overflowing cavorting eating
the day like an evening
at bedtime calling the night
