August-Wilson_01I am thrilled to say that the PBS documentary on August Wilson (“American Masters — August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand”) premieres nationwide Friday, Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. on PBS.

The documentary “traces the life and legacy of the Tony- and Pulitzer-winner — from his roots as a Pittsburgh activist and poet to his indelible mark on Broadway” (from Eurweb).

I am very gratified to know that I played a small part in the planning this effort, as I was invited to a planning session in February 2013 at the August Wilson Center, which I documented here.  Not sure whether I’ll end up in the credits or not, as my role was very small, but I have my fingers crossed.
