Prayers for Peace

WordSlanger- Photo by Shaka Jamal Redmond

trust in righteous love
but tie your camel
I pray for peace
as I sharpen swords
my prayers
have only known times
of war I pray for peace
as I protect my weapons
my love for peace
no ladder for transgressors no
quarter given no bowed head
straight in the eye
born free with dignity
plan to live this way
as I pray for peace I
stay ready everyday
of my sweet life
knowing salt will come
always there are thorns in the bag with
the gift of life I know only one direction
only one direction straight
forward through rain storm on I pray
for peace while sharpening
swords love given
equals universal alliteration
when the math is wrong
lines crossed are met
reasons given answered my love
for peace no ladder
for transgressors
I pray for peace
my swords are sharp
